I called New England Floor Sanding to have my painted pine kitchen floor sanded and stained. Sam called me back within two minutes and said he could probably start whenever I wanted; no months-long wait. I told him we would be going away in a few weeks and that would be an ideal time since we’d be out of the house, so after discussing the job on the phone and looking at pictures I gave him, he gave me an estimate (reasonable) and we agreed to a start date. This was so uncomplicated and to the point! No runaround, no scheduling to come see it first. He asked me for measurements, he looked at eight photos I sent, and we discussed stain color and how many coats of polyurethane. His crew showed up the day we were leaving and got straight to work. This was no easy job; they really had to do some tough sanding to remove all the checkerboard paint design on my very large floor. And everything was done on trust: we left the guys in our house for four days and trusted they would do the job, and Sam trusted that we’d pay! (He collected no money until I, as the customer, came home and checked out the finished product and approved it.) Well, I’m glad we all trusted each other because the floor came out beautiful! Sam kept in touch throughout the project and sent pictures of stain samples on my own floor, and they did three coats of polyurethane as opposed to only two that many say is enough. When we came home to our newly finished floor, I was so pleased! It looks gorgeous, and the entire job was professional. I highly recommend this company for your floor needs because if they could fix my floor, they can fix anyone’s floor!MarisaPrinceton, MA
